Pumpkin {PATCHING} It Up!

_CLZ3821If you know me, then you know that I {LOVE} fall, I love pumpkin patches, I love halloween, I love cooler weather, I love the changing wardrobes & I love that fall is just the beginning of the best time of the year! Plus, I already told you once . . . right here! I’m especially {EXCITED} about fall this year because it is an indication that we are closer to meeting baby Marshall. We made plans to go to the pumpkin patch as a family on Sunday, because my husband had plans to do yard work on Saturday. But, when Chan & I found ourselves with nothing to do a gorgeous fall day & my cousin suggested going to the pumpkin patch I couldn’t pass it up! 2 days, 2 different pumpkin patches . . . don’t mind if I do.

On Saturday, we went to a pumpkin patch that I’ve been going to for over 10 years, but I’ve never taken the hayride to pick our own pumpkins. The boys were really looking forward to the hayride so we finally did it. The field of pumpkins was {OVERWHELMING} for an indecisive toddler . . . it took some convincing to get out of the field with a good sized pumpkin, the smaller ones are apparently more appealing and the grey one that mommy picked out was just “not good”. Luckily, I left there with the grey pumpkin that I wanted & Chan choose one as we were boarding the hayride out of there.

Note: Chandler is in that awkward “cheese” face phase . . . You’ve got to {LOVE} 3 years old and their literal interpretations of things! This is why, as a photographer, I never taught my child to say “cheese”. Unfortunately, he’s picked it up throughout the years from other parents, teachers & children and I find myself saying it now because he does. Bad habit for all!

On Sunday we all went & had breakfast with family and then headed to the pumpkin patch with my sister-in-law & niece, Lillie. Chandler was so {EXCITED} to get to spend time with Lillie, whom he refers to as his sister instead of his cousin & today he even called her his best friend . . . awwwwww! They are 9 months apart & it is so fun to watch them play together. Plus, they’re adorable!

I could probably go to a pumpkin patch every weekend in October! But, baby Mars is keeping me from doing so. Plus, I’d end up with 20 pumpkins! I was pretty physically {EXHAUSTED} after our excursion on Saturday, so much so that I could barely walk when we got to the pumpkin patch on Sunday morning, my hip was so stiff . . . yes, stiff . . . I’m carrying around a lot of weight and I’m having a hard time keeping up with an active toddler!

3rd Birthday {FALL} Fête

So, I have this friend and when our babies (my oldest & her youngest) were turning {ONE} we discovered that we both shared a {LOVE} of party styling . . . not necessarily the planning part, but we love to {STYLE}. We helped each other to plan & style our little one’s 1st birthday parties and since then, we have planned and styled ever single party together; which includes 8-10 kid birthday parties and 3-4 adult parties. Our babies (now 3) are only a couple of weeks apart, so we our busy in August & September! We had originally planned to have an Apple Picking & Picnic party for her daughter, but our local venues just didn’t work out for us . . . so, my friend decided to push her daughter’s party back a couple of weeks and have a Fall Fête at the pumpkin patch! Um, yes!! I {LOVE} fall, I {LOVE} pumpkin patches . . . let’s do this!
